bullet i told u ur gonig to give opey a heart attack
MUAHAHAHAH! I GOT IT BITCHES!.
AHAH FUCK FINALLY. ok opey i have another question. here the problem.
i am recording fine, im puting my vocals in when the beats is playing, i can see my vocals are coming up as the beats on, its just when i stop recording, and i try to see what i said, its not playing, and i even mute the track, to see if i can hear my vocals, but none, I KNOW THEY ARE RECORDED THOUGH BECAUSE I CAN SEE IT, i dont know if that makes sense, do you knoiw?
Omg. I guarantee you either still have the track record armed or input monitoring on or both. If you do, you need to start thinking about solutions before you ask for help.
yeuh, i got everything volume, mic etc...working now, thanks for the help opey.
Thank God lol
^^^^^ sending over medic relief.... poor opey
fuck bullet now when i get my cubase u are comin over n doing tihs
Lol, yeuh dont worrie about opey, i already called the ambulance, but word, i got you T.
Rb will eventually give me an ulcer.
aha i wouldnt doubt it, get on it early though, go to the doctors soon lol
eh opey, im recording in my closest, its about 6 foot long by 2 feet wide, what should i use for soundproofing, just some heavy duty blankets, or i saw on americanmusical.com they have like a 24 peice set of 12" recording studio foam type shit for 100, any input?
FUCK RECORDING man, im so frusterated with this peice of shit. Opey youll prolly say im not doing something properly or w.e but im not.
latest problem.
I get everything working and recording, can hear my voice fine through the mic, but when i stop recording and delete my vocals its doesnt record, only sometimes it will let me record sometimes it doesnt, and i save it to project, i open the project all the time, the one where everything works, and ONLY SOME FUCKIN TIMES IT WORKS:@ WTF :@ opey you know why? doubt it but...
Go to a studio. you're not cut out for this shit lol
ROFLL apparently... how bout u just try Adobe Audition 3 for a while...
LMFAO nah , its so weird man, for the time being, i just have to open /re-close the project until those little blue bars move up and down so i know my mics there, i have no clue why its doing that,so innoying, but it works...just takes awhile lol.
Are you sure it's not automatically turning off input monitoring and/or record arm after recording? I haven't used Cubase in awhile, but I remember it being annoying like that.
nah, both of the lights are on before and after recording (monitor and arm button light), but tomorrow i am probably gonna try and install cubase to an actual desktop cpu and see if it gives me the same problem, if it does, i guess illl just have to deal with it.
*sad face*
Hmm... Is it the timeline selection? You have to adjust the timeline selection at the top to tell it where to play and stop. Maybe that's what used to annoy me. I know something used to reset and drive me nuts.
o really? hmmm...never thought about that, but i will check tomorrow, i cant record now, fams asleep lol.
heres a quick question though opey, after im done recording and wish to hear what i said, i click mute on the stereo channel for the instro, and just play the vocals, but should the beat be playing behind my vocals in mono channel, i know probably stupid question again, but just wondering.
It shouldn't be, but if it is then you probably have bleed from your headphones when you record. Is the beat really low in the background? If so, that's the problem. You want a set of headphones that seal tightly around your ears. And you want the headphones to be closed-back so no sound escapes thru the back of the headphones. Open back headphones are terrible for recording.
no, i dont think its the hd phones, because i dont havent recorded with them on in booth, on my preamp i have the moniter mix at half and i had the output level 2 or 3 clicks over half, which makes the volume on my speakers go up and in the hd phones, ill try putting them both on half tomorrow and see if it makes a difference, but opey, ONLY my vocals should play back on mono, there should be no beat aswell, correct?
these are the exact head phones i have, but i only paid $20 muah....but im probably gonna go cop a pair of dr.dre's headphones for free from future shop this week.
If you're not using headphones then how are you hearing the beat when you record? Your monitors should be off when you record.
And no... There should be absolutely no sound in the vocal track except your voice. No music... No room noise... No signal noise. If you have any sound other than your voice you need to fix it.
ok, btw i was listenning through my speakers. i mean the hd phones were plugged in and everything.
WTF. If you can hear the speakers then so can the mic lol
