We're Making It (Nameless Faceless Fucks)
Bills stacked on the table, I attack them with my skills when I'm able
Hard work will get you places is a fable. There's intricacies & angles
As well as difficulties that tangle on the path to success
We live our lives on the coattails of regrets. In love but beset
By the stress, the mess, of surving without money
Mouth to feed, family in need, ain't a damn thing funny
I am beneath clouds, crying aloud, in doubt the heavens even hear
But the wails and pleas are picked up instantly by my wife who I hold dear
She consoles me. Right as I'm folding - white flag throwing
Bestowing me with clarity. Exploding, Granada against disparity in tow
It seems each time she comforts me I grow as a person.
I exposed my hurt, she wiped my tears, now tell me where my hurt went?
When I was hopeless, hellbent on dirt naps - my failures having vengeance.
She instilled resilience to the days of constant resentment
Invisible wounds - they always include – ripple effects.
And I’m just trying to protect, what I checked in to collect.
To you it looks like a mess. But babe that’s just the stress.
Frustration comes like a chemical. It’s plentiful.
And nothing about it will ever be ethical.
…I want you to eat.
…Stop withdrawing from me.
It was never ‘you’ or ‘I’ …
It was always - ‘we’.
You don’t mean to push. You just want to be free.
A quiet gentle giant who becomes snappy.
You’re moody and I love you. We have history.
And silent attacks of anxiety. Seemingly,
Endlessly.
We have a cycle of struggle in society.
Where you die quietly.
You’re honest and real. But I can’t know how you feel.
So I remind you; that resilience is steel.
You’re relentless and stronger. Like blood and water.
We’re rich in our book of poverty 'cause we’re the author.
I won’t let you slaughter, the man underneath.
You carry me over obstacles. You make me complete.
Though I know that…doesn’t make ends meet.
- Destitution – Deprivation.
But baby because of our love…
We’ll never be poor in imagination.
At night when we lay, i see calming peace on her face
Chasing away demons who've deprived me of sleep for days
Serenity quakes, a quiet rumble,
Then towards slumber I stumble...
My dreams are of success and an end to our duress
Stress left in times that mark the start of our quest
To making it,
No faking the smiles to spare our child visions of pain
We're living in style, endless sunshine after hiking mountainous disdain

Re: We're Making It (Nameless Faceless Fucks)
Pretty good collab here. I dunno who did what so I'm just gonna go verse by verse and assume I know.
First verse. I'm assuming this is truth. The wording got a bit awkward from time to time and the rhyme scheme was a bit simple but other than that it was a pretty solid story tell. Second verse had a bit of a poetic style, ironically though, it reminded me a bit of Engivale's structure. So I really liked it lol. It was smooth, though the rhyme scheme wasn't all that creative and impressive -- it still managed to remain fluent and the poetic vibe added a new chemical to the story the previous writer had going on. Third verse ties it in, I'm assuming this verse is Truth. It's shorter than the first verse but I feel the wording is smoother in this and it's more enjoyable. Nice job. Overall, the piece went from okay to great to nice. Keep it up y'all. Good drop.

The overall vibe from this was mellow to hard hitting, throughout. So I have to say the creative language and metaphors, with the rhyme all worked together and I appreciate the collab in its whole. The message was concise and clear, although a few hiccups here and there with bridging a metaphor or two, some things came from left field but overall it worked for the average readers. Good work here, you keep elevating every piece you drop,
@Truth Iscariot
. I liked the mesh of styles here.

Well done collab guys sorry its taken me a bit to get some free time to check this out. First off truth definitely had a cool flow running with a lot of internal rhymes and rhythm really pushing the read along. Kind of like the man of the house folding under all the constant responsibly expected, then Emily came in with some real slick wording and metaphorical references that were tight. The meaning of this verse held deep and read like what a perfect wife would be in this scenario, that type of influential backbone most gents really need. Loved the resilience is steel line, and the not you or i but we line. Truth came in with a transformed state of mind and really mmadethe imagery of Emily point of character out to be symbolic .strong emotional piece of a couple and their struggles. Thanks for the read!
