COMPETITION AND QUALIFICATIONS

3 DAYS TO CHECK IN AFTER BATTLES ARE POSTED, 48 HOURS BEFORE DEADLINE TO SIGN OUT OF BATTLE WITHOUT PENALTY, 24HR BEFORE DEADLINETO NOTIFY MOD TO SIGN OUT OF BATTLE WITHOUT PENALTY

4 DAYS AFTER CHECK IN DEADLINE TO POST VERSE, 24 BEFORE POSTING DEADLINE TO POST FOR EXTENSION AND GRANTED ONE EXTRA DAY.

3 DAYS TO VOTE AFTER EXTENSION PERIOD

1. All competitors must check in before each battle. A posting of their verse before the check in deadline will count as a checking and posting of verse. Any missed check in will result in a no show. The no showing offender will be placed in a "HOLDING STATUS" and will miss one week.
They can be pardoned out of this status if the Mod offers "REDEMPTION" to prevent 3 way battles or vote on all the battles that week. If "REDEMPTION" is offered in the form of battling, the same posting rules apply.
2 no show appearances is a disqualification.
If life events will play apart of you not showing, you must notify the Mod 24hrs before check in. In a case like this you will not be charged a no show. Other battles in other leagues do not count as a life event. We are all grown here...

2. Verses shall not be less than 16 bars/lines or no more than 64 bars/lines. Violation of this rule will incur a loss of vote. The loss of vote doesn't count as a "BOOK".
NO EDITING AFTER POSTING. If editing after posting is found, the editor will lose one vote. The loss of vote doesn't count as a "BOOK".

3. All participants must vote on all battles other than their own. If you are no showed then you must still vote on the other battles. Not completing the voting process will incur a one "BOOK" per vote penalty.
All votes must contain the following:

Their winner
Likes and dislikes of each verse
Opinions on improvements

Each vote should be no less than 4 lines AND must have a listing of battle you voted on i your battle thread. As well as friendly competition, elevation has always been an integral part of Sacred Scriptures and will continue to be so lack of quality of the vote will not be tolerated and will incur a "BOOK" penalty.
Example:

his flow was good and rhymed well
Too many big words
Use less words that are too big

4. You are expected to battle each week. If you feel that you will not make it, you must sign out 48 before the check in date. You also have 24 hrs to notify the Mod if you are going to show or not. Signing out will incur a week grace period before eligibility to sign back in. Not signing out or notifying the Mod will result in a no show tag and "HOLDING STATUS" for the next week.

5. "BOOKS" are votes missing and will be added to your battle record. If you incur 10 books anytime this regular season, it will result in one extra loss added to your battle record. 20 books incurred during the regular season will incur in a loss added to your battle record AND 3 week suspension and if there are less weeks left in the season, you are suspended until playoffs (if qualified). 30 books during the regular season will result in disqualification.

6. Each week, there will be a "TOPIC POOL" where each competitor can submit 2 topics that may or may not be used in any battle. This an effort to have each competitor be invested in this league.
Week 5, will start the playoff qualification season in which the #1 seed (the person with the best record) will be granted the ability to choose their own topic for that week. This ability will be valid every 3rd week (Week 5, Week 8).
The playoff season will use topics from the "TOPIC POOL" in each battle. All topics used will be chosen at random.

7. FIRST AND FOREMOST, WE ARE WRITERS. NO RECYCLING OF VERSES. IF FOUND THAT YOU ARE RECYCLING VERSES, YOU ARE DISQUALIFIED IMMEDIATELY AND BROUGHT UP TO ADMODS FOR BANNING. INTEGRITY IS KING HERE AND ALL VERSES WILL BE CHECKED FOR RECYCLING. YOU CAN POST VERSES HERE THE NEXT WEEK AFTER THE VOTING PERIOD UNDER ONE STIPULATION: YOU MUST HAVE SACRED SCRIPTURE LEAGUE IN YOUR TITLE.

8. Season Champion will be granted the #1 seed in the playoffs with the top 8 records qualifying for the post season. Overall Champion will be granted "Champs Rights". It's the ability to choose another topic from the "TOPIC POOL" in the next Sacred Scripture Season. This will be valid week 1 and week 3.

IGNORANCE OF THE RULES WILL NOT ABSOLVE YOU OF PENALTY!!!
