Manufactured air fills my lungs…
Life seems a matrix…
---But this life isn’t heaven
God doesn’t hurt like this

Yet angels surround me,
Crimson cover their garments…
Then the shell is broken;
--- I hear you scream…
The light fades and hell becomes apparent
--- Silence hits my ears like an atom bomb

Shadows cast by this cloud of death
are overrun by my rivers of tears…
Then blown away by my cries of sorrow
--- I did this to you…

I cant reach out, touch you, or kiss you
All I can do is count the tiles
between your bed and mine
An ocean apart

My delicate soul is now shattered
as your ghost floats further away
The shards are too sharp to put back together
--- Nothing will complete me again

Pools of blood form on the ground
--- Chaos surrounds us…
Your lips curve to a smile… your very last
--- Closer to heaven than I though

This place does resemble heaven in the end

I liked this piece..you really had strong imagery that just made the emotion more and more fitting throughout..you had great word choice...and placement..and a nice rhythm to the read..overall I'd say that this was a good read..and I'll be looking to see more from you seeing that I'm now giving poetry a shot as well..good drop and keep writing..
