there is no such thing as an "eq process" unless u are going for certain sounds like "radio quality" or "subwoofer" or some shit like that...then u would just use a pre-set...

what i mean by eq is to go to the 30 band eq, or parametric eq, and add or subtract (subtraction is always better but MUCH harder to master) what u need or dont need

    NO NO NO

    wtf?

if ya'll gonna give info...give the RIGHT info...there IS INDEED A PROCESS FOR EQ...

i'ma break it down for ya'll real quick

1st rule...NEVER EVER BOOST A FREQ (boost means "turn" up)
when u boost, ur voice is no longer "accurate" in the loosest sense

    aiight check it...

the human voice fall in these freq's:

    100hz to 16k

100hz thru 900hz is body...this controls body, if ur voice is "muddy", cutting at these frequencies will clarify your vocals

1k thru 4k is attack...this control the intensity of sounds like the letter " T "...if u aint too clear on these lil things...try cuttin around those freqencies

5k thru 16k is air and presense...if u want to bring ur voice more upfront of the mix, u could boost 5 k, but i dont reccomend it...if ur vocals sound to "airy" u should cut at these frequencies, if the "s" is slicing ur ears, u should cut at these frequencies

compression is ur best friend too...U MUST COMPRESS, i dont give a fuck who said dont, if they said u dont have to, trust me they dont kno what the fuck they talkin bout...

nowadays we smash the fuck out vocals...
so a good compression ratio is 4:1
    attack at the highest
make sure the release is at a good setting (to let words flow naturally)
and if u hear pumpin and choppin, turn autocompensation off and turn the volume down to a whisper with headphones and check for shakiness in ur vocals...if so, lay off the threshold more

    PZ...
