What I'm getting at is not the postive side, but more of the negative side, pretty much the way commercial rap has exploded.Sure it is making hip-hop more mainstream than ever(postive effect) but it has more negative effects out weighing the postive. Now more rappers are getting in this all about the money thing, which totally defies what hip-hops orginal intent was.Now record exectives, and labels are looking for more commercial cats to make records for one sole purpose."money",not for the sake of finding someone with raw talent who stays real and is making hip-hop because he loves it,regardless of becoming filthy rich. But the person who is willing to kiss their ass, change their record to suit 14 yr old girls interests, and is willing to sell out whenever possible.Do you think this is damaging hip-hop,and making it harder for other artists who saty real to break through, what are your thoughts on commercial rap......
