This is the line i refer to in my other peice "by your side" (http://www.rapbattles.com/forum/show...2#post5408602).
A Pirates’ Life For Me
One day you’re gonna have to set sail
Make sure you make friends, make fun and follow the right whales
“There she blows” may seem intimidating with the helter-skelter
But they will bring you nourishment, financial coverage and shelter
If they make you walk the plank
If you can manage to talk say thanks
For the ride and
Hang your toes over the side
And never forget
That it means you’re living on the edge
When they’re ready for the slaughter
And push you into shark-infested waters
When you’re part of the ocean additionally
Tell the spineless there are other fish in the sea
When they say land ho don’t be offended
You’re just a landlubber appreciating the friendship
Climb the crow’s nest and look out to the horizon
Find the perfect point and make a goal of what your eyes are on
Let them talk to their parrots no matter how crazy they seem
But remember you regard your conscience daily in daydreams
If you judge the captain on his peg leg, better knock on wood,
And always look him in the eye; it’ll make him feel good,
Even if the captain gives you a right hook,
Be sure to shake his hand and give him a polite look
You never know when you need help firing cannons
But watch who you’re attacking cause they may tell you where land is
The author may have emptied them before the refill,
But heed the messages in bottles,
If anything its time instead of mates we kill
as we read wills, though he could’ve been Aristotle.
If you get sea sick, look towards your shipmates
Wavy waters are no reason and no place to dip fate.
Never mind the dumb and angry with
Their numb skulls and crossed bones
Just wave you’re hand and walk away
And they’ll wave the flag as we all know.
Talk slow in boss tones and you’ll get any crew to listen,
Don’t take anyone’s shit but swab the poop deck for recognition.
You may set your eyes on the prize,
and x may mark the spot for the treasure chest,
And you can bet with time you’ll find it
But that’s not to say that you’ll find pleasure yet.
Silver and gold sure both are nice,
They’ll both get old and are a vicious vice,
Notice all the delightful plights the captain
had with him chasing after it all his life?
Remember it’s the ride that counts,
And whenever the tide amounts,
To bringing you back in and out
You have more stories to talk about.
Being a pirate is dangerous and certainly hard work.
But they’ll all suggest you steal a ship and set out to sea for all its worth.
