The colour of life: divorce
Lubricated skin, by tears of joy,
swimming with the rainbows
colour scheme to keep my life
out of shades of black and white.
Fresh sandy bays wash rocks
upon our dreams beaches,
scorching the sun with
A smile of warmth.
Tiled sunrises reach to the
imagination, stretching
the lips to droop into
crimson floors.
Bloated speech gives
A sense of constipation
In the thought of man kind.
Fruit scented perfume
lifts the volume of
silence to talk in
jest of lipstick on collars.
Romance in violence
seems to be a
preference to the
broken church bells.
whiskey flavoured
ball gowns in a glass
made prom queens
camera poses lift
the spirit of red nose
celebrations of nothing

Fuelled by green bottles
vanishing self respect
into a form of yesterdays
hollow promises.
Humble comments
Made by the makers
Of free speech,
they almost seem
to cloud our sky high
blue seas of life.
Messages inside shards
speaking words of
poetry to voluptuous
lovers, yet promise
nothing more than
misfortune as the
deeper meanings speak
volumes over appearance.
Pondering upon trivial
occasions, yet nothing
worth the mention.

Well i hope you've sobered up enough to read some feed.

I really enjoyed this opening bit, you need an apostrophe before the s in rainbows but the image you painted here is strong man. This is perhaps my favorite piece of the poem.

In this segment the opening line made my pause, tiled sunrises i took to represent something along the lines of a yellow brick road, strengthened by the fact that it leads to imagination. The last bit i really liked though and leads into...

I took the broken church bells to further symbolize infidelity, the lipstick on collars alluded to that but adding whiskey and violence to it seem to solidify it. Also the imagery you showed with the line 'whiskey flavoured ball gowns in a glass...' was great man using the word 'spirit' further alluded to the alcohol reference and overall this was a really well written portion of your piece.

The entrance into this piece i liked, however in conjunction with the end of the previous stanza confused me. I took the green bottles to be beer (perhaps it's wine or perhaps neither) well upon reconsidering i suppose the desired effect is that it represents alcohol again, which is shown in the 'vanishing self respect' part which i liked. The closing few lines in which you talked about a message in a bottle showed strong imagery as well i found this to be one of the most poignant points in the poem.

And we've reached the end, the wording in 'Pondering upon..' seemed a bit odd to me as was the way you ended it, almost as if to say that all of what you've described is trivial or perhaps that life itself is full of trivial occasions. I'm not really sure but maybe i'm digging too deep for meaning and i'm missing the face value appeal of it. Either way i enjoyed this man, thanks for the read.
