It's been sworn and I'm sighting, never the type to shout,
After years of boring fighting all the hypes about my title bout,
A frightened clout, I'm tight with peers more exciting - passion,
Something I can't fight without, easy living, strike it out,
As entering the ring causes my wife to pout !
I wipe my mouth, ..
The humid conditions tend to make gloves tear faces,
& at Last, cast love sneered with hatred as cuts appear in places.
I tie my boots with care, laces ; ..white as snow,
Ready to steady bruise & fight this foe, I might just know,
..Will blood trickle to taste? blood sickle with haste,
A consequence of a mans fickle mistake.
A fighters pride - simple to take, ..
I'm amped, it's stamped I'm ready to slam a peer.
Vamped, the Champ is here! ..
Reeling, my gut feeling? damn it's fear,
This mans career - his eyes shine with hunger,
Fists almost cry with thunder, confidence went flying asunder,
Panic, ...looking for a rock to hide me under,
I must swing, but he'll catch,
*DING DING*
Head still spinning, It's beginning - the match !
He released vicious, My dream could be torn apiece, stitches
needed as I look at my body screaming like obese bitches.
He's too fast, young and has a clever game plan.
Using jabs over my covered eyebrow,
......To cast some better maimed strands.
It's the middle of round one, He lands a right hook,
Leaves me stumbling wondering whether I took the right bus,
The fight must - go on, I should never fall : soldier,
Yet before I get a chance to recover, it's all over.
My dream shattered and mutilated, ripped away,
Battered & soon belated, never gripped the day,
Alas, I was always meant to fall,
The bribe I took wasn't worth it,
........Now that I've spent it all.
