A response to a poem she wrote for me. I'd share her poem to give a better insight into mines but I don't think she'd appreciate that.
Honey bee,
secluded delicacy;
I've searched you
felt you
dwelled
and have
found too many reasons
to graciously
reject your request
and keep loving you.
I'm neither hero nor coward
but I don't make promises
that I cannot keep.
And to me,
every time
that I say
those three words
I'm making a thousand
devoted promises.
I want to get lost in your labyrinth.
I want to meet your monsters,
I want to go through every door,
I want to swim in your veins
and find myself in your heart.
I swear I see Elysium at your every step,
so how can one say that the journey isn't worth it?
If I were to let you go now
Overcast would
smother
the morning light.
Gorgeous pieces,
shining fragments,
you are too much
for them to understand.
Maybe your past lovers
didn't know
how to arrange a mosaic;
you need care
thought
bravery
a gentle hand
and enough honesty
to know that you
are a masterpiece
that has yet to be finished.
When I read your words
I amiably oblige
to your honesty
inspired by love.
