Heroes Don't Exist.
By: Nash
Heroes use to be men
of distinguished nobility
among other men.
.
.
there isn't such a thing.
A man fearful for an early death
steals an old ladys bag, for
doe to save the life of his friend.
and then a "hero" reacts,
but he actually just pretends
that he got her purse back
by handing an empty bag over
but not her cash...
and when I look at it sober -
I see who commits the worst act.
I sit and I grasp this clover
and I hear people ask:
"Where's the hope gone?"
when that's exactly where it's at,
because all the hope's gone.
People act as if drugs didn't exist
when really its presence is known.
eventually, all of santas wish lists
will most likely read: "A Home"
yet still they don't get it...
ONE... succeeded in digging a hole,
and only the one can get back this -
thing that they themselves stole.
and still it's a distributer that is
the users idea of a hero.
What is peace was never real, but
a figment of a junkies imagination.
it's something we'll never feel
`til we get through every frustration
placed on an angry field.
She's no angel - but to him she is.
and while satans curves shake,
the smoothe, beautifully dirty skin
graces the eyes on his face.
but it's clear she's only hurting him
because his money can't buy her age.
he cries out while his hero leaves in
a hurry, stepping down from her cage.
he's ugly, but does what he can
to buy a heroic love in its place.
Killing two birds with one stone, and
we'll call the birds people,
while cigarettes are the stones cast.
so how is your mother your hero
if her idea of a helping hand -
means to keep your breaths low.
and so...
you search for heroes, but a good deed
now only means ten more bad ones.
a parents response to a hero would be
that we were all bad once.
Heroes use to be men
of distinguished nobility
among other men.
