I installed my Word Perfect on my new computer and it wont let me open or save files. It wont let me uninstall it, only reinstall and that doesn't work. If I open my WordPerfect files in Microsoft Word, it fucks up my text. Everything inside quotations becomes code. I've downloaded several programs that convert wordperfect to word docs, but none of them will even open up after I install them. I have tons of important documents I need to get to. I want to break this shit.

can you open it in wordpad Chris? If you can, open it in wordpad and then resave it (in wordpad) as an RTF file...Word should then be able to open it.

I don't want to save in Works because nothing in quotations will be there. It will look like this:

It's because you saved it as a file that doesn't work with WORD. You need to save it as something compatible with Word and Works.

I know that. Wtf? I SAID THAT. They're all saved as Word Perfect files, but my Word Perfect refuses to open or save, and I can't open the files "unfuckedupwith" in any other program. I need a way to convert.
I know it's fucking Vista. I NEVER had this problem in the 7 years I've been using Word Perfect until I copped this damn computer.

Are you sure your version of Word Perfect is Vista compatible? Did you try to update Word Perfect and Vista?
Why would you use Word Perfect anyway? And you should be saving in a universal format no matter what. Poor decisions all around. You might be stuck until you get on another computer with Word Perfect.
According to that article, world perfect never tranlates to word
perfectly. You have to manually clean up the mess.
Well, I found that too. My Vista wont run half the programs(the free stuff) suggested. Then they have programs you pay for. I used the website you upload your shit to, then download. I really don't like that shit though. I just want my Wordperfect.
