Also, Horror is just a cheesy genre. Part of the fun for people who are huge fans , is the cheesiness. The plots are always trash and the costumes and special effects are also trash. Most of them are funny. My favorite was Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy was just funny. Yeah, he cut people up and shit, but he made killing people fun - a family thing, if you will. I watched those movies with my grandmother with popcorn when I was in grade school and it was the funniest thing ever.
Part of the fun is yelling at the screen at the stupid teen bitch who jason caught fucking in the park.
"No, bitch, don't get in the lake, Jason can walk across that shit!!! Get a new model car that will start! Don't run, he can walk faster than you can run, bitch!!!!"
It's supposed to be stupid and cheesy and funny. If scary movies really scare you, you have a problem.

Well, maybe if you stopped watching the Rater-R horror movies and watched PG-13. You would not be letdown. I've noticed in the past few years that the PG-13 horror films are actually potentially frightening compared to the gore filled R rated.
