    Kill Bill

    [SOUNDCLICK]6915630[/SOUNDCLICK]

I'm pretty new to this site but anyway, this is the latest thing I've worked on, I haven't really had too much time to do much lately but whatever. I probably finished this back in June.

Work on your mix. I can tell your new. Melody is very boring. Drums aren't bad. Could use work tho. Keep at it man.

    Re: Kill Bill

It comes in pretty normall.. Ive heard that whistling melody many times before, so seemed a little boring.. The beat sounds old shool, nice (except for that whistling.lol).. I liked that breakdown or something on 2:30... Overall the beat is average, as I dont hear raper's vocals on it.... Keep up

Hmmm, sounded a little out of tune to me.

    Re: Kill Bill

sounds a little too herky jerky for me. Like it needs something to tie it together, something that runs through it. And the breakdowns, like the guy said, are pretty dope. Not bad

    Re: Kill Bill

Thanks for the feedback, I was hoping I'd get advice so maybe I'll redo this at some point.

And I don't know about finding anything else in this sample, I've gotten better at cutting them but I don't know if that's going to help. Its a lot faster than this beat is and I pretty much got what I could out of it without having it sound weird. But maybe I'll take another look.

And its not out of tune, electronic instruments can't go out of tune, kind of. If anything its out of key, which it is, kind of, which I did on purpose on the piano part when Lucy Lui is talking. The dissonance creates suspense.

    Re: Kill Bill

i think the synth behind the whistling would sound better if it was on key with the whistling.. but yeah that breakdown is hot. not too bad tho.
