I'm gonna spend less than $300... because when I buy it I'm also gonna buy a Baby Bottle and a FireWire 410... I was gonna get the 1814, but I very highly doubt I'll ever need all those ins and outs...

it's not a buy it now. I don't think it's gonna go for that much. I'd get it tho if it does. even up to $300 that's your best bet. If it goes for less than $300 I'd buy it while it's that cheap.
I looked at that DBX on two different auctions, but they wanted WAY more than that... and I'd heard the name Joe Meek, but knew nothin' 'bout any of their gear... that piece looks dope too... so does that Focusrite... I didn't see any of these when I searched eBay, but I just looked at the first two pages when I searched: mic preamp>electronics...

is the 410 worth gettin', since it seems good enough to suit my needs??? or should I really be lookin' at the 1814 for other reasons besides number of ins/outs??? or somethin' else in that price range (again $300)??? what about the Focusrite Saffire??? or the Alesis iO26??? or the Motu 828MKII???
I'm gonna drop around $1000 on these three items, if I can get the Baby Bottle for around $300 also... if not (probably not) I'll probably get the Bluebird... I've heard my voice on 3 Blue mics, and I really love the way it sounds... I shoulda asked what preamps were bein' used though, damn me...

the best addition that the 1814 has is word clock and adat in/out. I think it's worth it. But I use the adat and word clock. I didn't use them when I bought it a few years ago tho. plan ahead.
I don't even know what those functions do lol... guess I got some readin' to do...
