i made a beat pretty similar to this a few months ago this is cool i dont like the clap but the beat sounds cool
that was horrible in almost every aspect.

Its simplistic but im very fond of simple productions ya kno good sound to it but the horns is a tad bit loud and overpowering most of the other sounds props tho

I like this. I like the horns but I dont think they go well with the other sounds in the beat. The beep synth thing is tight, sounds professional. Bass is okay, it fits, but it doesnt sound like something I'd hear on a radio station. The horn really gets annoying. But its decent for what it is.

Thos leads are hurting my ears.. I mean for real, u should turn em down at least a little bit.... Drums are nice.... But I think you could have used a little more instruments in this, because they just dont fill the background.. I mean there could be way more ish goin on besides those leads and several other instruments.. I suggest you download reason and rewire it to whatever u use, this should improve how your beats sound (well, that worked to me)..There are many fine refills... You could have done way better with this concept.. But if ur cool with how it sounds and other ppl like it, then its ok....

the horns need some tweakin, they definitely need to be turned down. work on your levels homie. beats should be dynamic, aka changing in levels throughout. for example, them horns wouldnt be as annoyin if you turn em down in the hook and up in the chorus.
your gettin better wit your drum work, i like the clap, kick is cool, overall layout is straight, i would bang them out a bit more bring em to the front of the mix and really let the drums lead this.

Thanks for feed everyone. Man, I never knew I should change up things such as lowering instruments during the chorus or wherever. I usually have all my instruments at the sample level. (so excluding drums and bass) Is there any technique you use to know when to lower certain instruments, or do you just do a trial type of thing.
