Poison Speech.
By:Spekz.
Words walk off my tongue
Indulging in conversation,
An unseen phenomenon
As though they swarm in packs
Attacking a listening ear…
Use at your own risk,
Or bear the consequences…
Words;
Loving & Hateful
Sour & Kind
Right & Wrong
Truth & Lies…
...User beware.
Today I spoke,
How careless I was…
Syllables slit my throat,
Sliding on air;
Before they’re even spoke.
Wide eyes revoke acceptance
A lesson to a pointed finger,
As it twists – me!?
Thoughts lament cautiously,
Dancing on a curled tounge;
How rare they escape.
However,
In a moments loss of focus
Control is debt to a roaming threat
Hoping to confess on open ears,
Your outspoken mind relishes.
Tempers flail – words transform
From a simple means of language,
To a daunting army, resembling
Penetrating curses of internal damage.
Rest assure – physically you remain intact.
But in fact your emotions tender and raw
Bleed as though poured slowly
Through lifeless lips.
Now words spark gasps – choking;
Tears swell, pain finds a home -
A resting noose, hangs ahead.
Battling sentences trump resistance
Revolting against stammering lies,
A victor is crowned – by a smile.
Meshed in defeat cries tremble
Words lost in the heat of the moment
As you’re torn to pieces,
From the inside out.
Forced to be eaten alive
By the very thoughts,
That woke a dormant beast – a simple combination
Of the honest to god truth…
…a simple lapse in considerate judment.
Words – a powerful existence.
A simple doze,
May just poison the air you breathe.
