Anaylysis-this battle was straight up fire and didnt dissapoint me @ all...fully what I expected......Phly had the 3 steps/2ssteps line that was just sick...a well as ethnic concepts bar...both very fresh and cool as well....Toke had the...impact/abel line that almost made me piss myself & the waistline concept was pretty fucking dope too....
phly had 2 nah's for me...while token had one....but token had about 3 straight while phly had like 2...both had similar coming in fourth concepts even though I think phly's wordplay was a little bit better.....but token made me laugh a bit more in his verse...both had decent personals and outstanding wordplay-Punchlines

but there has too be a winner and I vote

phly.. this was probably one of the best verses i've seen from you. no shit. every punch was witty and hard hitting and you stayed consistent throughout ur entire verse. and the places were you weren't quoted were just barely shy of it. i cant find one weak point. dope.

token.. you had a streak of consistent dopeness towards the end that was unbelievable. i felt you started out slow.. with concepts that didnt have the sting or wittieness that phly's set the bar for, but you came on very strong at the end.

but.. there is just no voting against phly's verse lol. it is the complete and exact definition of dope. its almost as good as it gets and if he drops like this again in the finals for his 2nd season title then he's an automatic legends member.

I know my breakdown is quite harsh, but damnit, nobody else is going to be this critical. This isnt legends material at all. Not saying this wasnt a good battle, because it was... but all the hype leading up to it made me expect more.

Phly... this is subpar compared to what you did in Gauntlet this week. You had a couple of great lines... coupled with alot of uncharacteristically bad punches. You should have taken more time polishing things up.

Token... you started out nicely. After the first half of your verse, I thought you had an easy win here. Unfortunately you had a really bad run towards the end. You had a good amount of played stuff... but atleast had solid wording with most of it.

I really dont know who to lean for here.
We have Phly with his weakest verse in weeks or Token who came pretty played.

I guess when reading both verses, quotables are pretty even... wording was pretty even... creativity went to Phly... but he also had a few lines where I had to stop to try to search for a better meaning... and I didnt find it.

Good battles guys... but Im going to have to go with Token for having a more fluid read... his never tripped me up.

It really was a close match, I think that this league is dope and I wish at 4-1 I was able to have made playoffs, but I digress. Good work from both sides, this was absolutely cool to read. Like Chrit said, prolly not legendary material, but one hell of a battle in my eyes.
