We look to the skies of slated grey
and speak of non-existent rainbows.
Starry-eyed at the optimistic birds in the trees,
Able to laze in the evening sun.
- Lips pursed, because all that matters is the money.

Laws borne of psychedelia,
out of our right mind, we're left with nothing
like a Multilane one-way carriageway...
There's only one way to follow the system,
even though there's plenty of room for it to grow.
- We're all heading to the same place anyway.

Some say love is the answer,
but love never answers...
or more to the point, nobody ever answers "love."

Structure is the tool of the devil,
love your robotic embrace...
swastika knots couldn't bind people
in such circles of superiority.

Social rejection, hat off to the concrete valleys.
Busking for change.
No copper shrapnel please...
I only want to pound some sense into the world.
Maybe take note?

I fill my soul with hate,
I fill my lungs with fire,
I fill my dreams with malice.
Standing united in this curse and torture,
rubbing my brow in exasperation when I know that...
- All is lost.

This fiction we live is nothing close to a novel idea.
I feel like it's right to write, right?
Through this pen I shall become a butterfly.
Ideally...
until my cocoon is broken down with battering ram,
- "This is the Police", laced with drugs
to frame even the most picture perfect.
Now get the FUCK back in line!

INNOCENCE!? FREEDOM!? WHAT NONSENSE ARE YOU SPOUTING.
Fucking hippy.

"Go to work, send your kids to school.
follow fashion, act-normal,
walk on the pavements, watch TV.
Save for your old age, obey the law.

Love the imagry of this went well with the twist you added at the end in the final stanzas, no excessive or overly used vocabulary which is a plus in my eyes, allowed you to control the depth without causing a sublime sense of confusion so it was easy to follow but still contained the depth needed to progress the emotion. Props on this..

This was an interesting poem. My favorite stanzas were the 'love' stanza, the devil's structure stanza and the 'I feel my lungs with fire' stanza. Those three made me smile in the sense that they were .. if not creative .. definently original and reminded me of the poetry you read in college english. The wording in this poem was very smooth. Only thing that kinda itched at me was .. well .. nothing I suppose. Thanks for the read man, hof.

Impressive. No real stanza stood out for me. Instead everything contributed to each other pretty well, and the end was a nice twist. I really like this alot, awesome write.
