This skin i wear my cross to bear, how can things just seem this way
Ask my parents is it fair? "Its just the way it is" they say
Told to keep myself in line, keep emotions deep inside,
Though i feel the need to cry I ball my fists and breathe a sigh
I know that I can handle this, but I want to cross the bridge
See another side to life not teeter on this cautious ridge
No one else just seems to care, or too afraid to speak their mind
We are all just one united people, dont our leaders think its time
To change the way we interact, or is this just our destiny
Brains ingrained to never change, i thought minds worked progressively?
I cant believe the people around me all just seem to be content
Poor and going hungry, hard to eat when you just feed the rent
But being stuck together so creates a bond thats strengthening
Even when the chips are down you know its not worth severing
But why cant everyone see the big picture so we can utilize
A strategy worked craftily to save us from our true demise
And thats living how we're living now, believing dominant ideology
Who gives them the so called right to call us the bottom of society

I know you dont approve of my words and actions, but honestly like it or not
I choose to be this burden, and refuse, to accept this life and just rot
