so I just heard this dudes track last night, he's apperently with Funk Volume according to what he said at the end, track was dope but you can tell there are some parts where he was trying to go hard and couldn't cos his tone of voice limited him.

Tebo know I gots love for him.
But as far as what @Toobs was saying about forum rappers, I guess I don't make that distinction. To me if you rap, you rap regardless of where you present your work. I can't really define what is forum rap vs any other rap, its hard enough saying there is still "underground" rap. Nothing is really underground to me anymore because of the internet, its either not known or known.

Leave me alone
i can understand that...
to me there two types...theres those who are seeking a career, in which, everything BESIDEs your rap skill is usually the most important aspect...
and then theres those who do it as a hobby...and to those folks, skill is everything and the rest is unnecessary....

The dude in the video was pretty good. My position on the discussion is that anyone can rap, but not everyone is good at it. I'm speaking in terms of lyricism and flow which is one of the most important parts of rap. Usually when I'm listening to someone rap and their flow is off or they can't stay on beat, I just stop listening.
Your being too harsh on the no skill part.
A lot of rappers can rap really good, but what they choose to rap about nobody cares about.
Everything else about Drake is even cheesier than his music.
If Drake rapped like Tyga or French Montana he wouldn't be a quarter as big..
Kendrick Lamar looks like 1 of the lamest ppl who ever worked with Dr Dre
As a person he seems very boring, his most interesting thing about him is his music
& Dre has worked with flops b4 like Bishop Lamont - ppl didn't care he worked with Dre
Or if Mackelmore rapped like lil B but still ''repped gay rights''
Gay ppl probly wouldn't of cared as much & he wouldn't of won best rap album
It's all about having contacts and connections though and money
French Montana couldn't even exist without having famous rappers as friends
He's someone who will never sell records cus of his skill
So skill is pretty important, nobody wants to be like a Chief Keef or Plies
But I agree with a lot of the shit you say
Bishop Lamont was pretty dope tho...
Just didn't take off.
Juicy J been in the game for yeeeeaaaars and Three6Mafia made classics together, his beats are dope as fuck too. French is actually dope and a smart business man who understand the importance of hook ups and styles that create trends for marketing.

Juicy J & DJ Paul pioneered Tennessee rap sounds, if you just now hearing about him then you are seeing him after about 20 years in.
