    Poetic Scriptures: The Magazine

    Introduction

Welcome to Poetic Scriptures, the first Poets Corner magazine in a very long time. I'm your host, Johnny Soul, and I'm looking to take you on a tour of the forum. You'll see the top five poets in PS history. ( according to my opinion. ) the top three writers currently active. Poems to look for. Hall of Fame pieces. Legends pieces. I won't be doing an interview because those take forever. But I will post some songs y'all should check out and a couple other categories you might be interested in. So here it goes, enjoy.

Top Five Writers ( Past Tense )

@Laureate : Ben was a huge inspiration and mentor of mine coming up on the forum between 2005 and 2010. He helped me get better as a writer and as a person. He was also a huge part of me getting into IJL. But mentoring aside, the guy is a phenomenal writer. Legends pieces, hall of fame, league and tourney dominance. He's just a poet, hands down. Glad to see him back and I hope he sticks around and posts more greatness. In the mean time, check out one of his Legend inducted poems...

From the Thoughts of an Artist to Being Invisible

@Poeta demonio (El Poeta): Ryan has always been an amazing writer and an even better friend. Another person who helped me elevate and welcomed me into his Untitled Ent crew. Another poet who dominated the poetry section for years. With his abstract style and his Nirvana esque way with words, he's always been a personal favorite of mine. Just to show you all why he's on this list... here's one of his legends inducted pieces...

    Poetry's Face Is Bruised

@Sharp : Never took the time to mentor me but the guy was always a magnificent writer to keep an eye on. One of the Abstani/Po'Ethic boys, his style was unique and he didn't give a shit about fitting the RB mold. Sharp was consistent and always dropped high quality poetry. To prove my point, here's one of his legend pieces...

    Lucky Brand Me

@Atti & @MIND less: Atticus and Mindless are on this list together to make #4 and #5 because some of their best material were collaborations together. Atticus has always been a cool dude until you piss him off then that Mike V anger comes out and the skate war begins. Mindless is RB's original Boston guy ( before Joe showed up ) and knows what he's talking about when sports are involved. Both have that unique Abstani style and both are phenomenal writers.

    A King Worth Killing

    Top Three Poets (Currently)

@Emilyinthepool : this girl showed up with some average poetry . She had the right idea and a gallon of emotion but her technical aspects just weren't quite there . But now she's putting out some quality poetry and that's a sign of a strong upcomer in my opinion. Her concepts keep getting better and more original and her wording is slowly improving . I can't wait to see her journey as it continues.

    Sing To You

@Samajae : even though Ntalek was in IJL and around during the older years, to me, he's starting over and still getting the rust bucket brain cleaned up. Guy is slowly getting back into his swing and his content gets better with every piece. I'd like to see him spend more time on his pieces though because quality over quantity.

    Acoustic Noose

@memoir : Memoir is new to RB but was a poetry monster on RIA. The guy has some amazing wording and his concepts are always on point. Love his imagery and he's never disappointed me. Make sure to keep an eye out for this guy without a doubt.

    Bring Back Intricate Emotions!

Haiku is active. Poets Corner is active. There's well over a dozen poets on the site now . It's on both a redirection and a resurrection! I'm confident with @Atti and/or @Mantra running the show, it's be successful this time around. We even have enough active poets to do the two team league like we did back when Poeta and Onsalught ran the league in 2008-2009. Let's do this damn thing!

    The Ending

This is the ending and it's so insufficient because nobody gives a flying fuck about what an outro section says. So here's a shout out to Infected Pens, Inked Blood, Immortal Outlaws, Abstani Collective and the free agent writers who keep this section active. Shout out to the chances of Intricate Emotions being brought back. Shout out to those making haiku a great league after all these years . Went from a dead forum, to a haiku tourney (I ran), to a successful league. Nice little under dog story. Shout outs to curvy porn stars with tattoos. ( Christy Mac , Julia Bond, Kenzy Lee, Jesse Lee) and Shout outs to Atmosphere , Grieves, Sadistik and iMayday! For always releasing dope material.
