Sacred Scriptures 14 Magazine: Issue 1

    https://www.revivalgame.com/assets/v...38d28e6e5d.png

Sacred Scriptures is back and will be stronger than ever!!! This isn't season fourteen or whatever, this is the revival. Fresh start with a clean slate. There will be more than ever to adapt with the times. Weekly magazines, contender and champion interviews, a spanking new title for the champion to rock in his signature shall he choose to. Everything will run clockwork so only the strong and dedicated will survive. The longest extension you'll receive is a sixty minute grace period and that's if you're online when the deadline comes. I know most of you longtime Sacred Scripture writers have noticed there's not a list of topics this week. That's because in the new modern times I've realized most of you prefer you and your opponent write to the same topic rather than choose from a list. I see this as a way to stay away from one having an advantage over the other and it's easier for voters to decide. It'll be this way the entire season, and there will be themes from time to time. Overall I'm looking to make this a success and I'm looking to make it a very credible league. So if you, the battlers, and I the mod can work together. It'll thrive.

    Week One Previews

    AFox vs. Easy.

On one side you've got AFox who's an upcoming writer who's still kinda looking for her niche. On the other hand you have a slightly more experienced upcoming writer who's got all the fundamentals down and just needs more experience and advice to get where he needs to be. Both writers show loads of promise and I expect this to be a diamond in the rough.

    Jonny Blaze vs. 2Triple0

This is one of those battles I actually expect to slide under the rug. Blaze is unpredictable. If he shows up, it'll be worth the read... but that's IF he shows up. 2Triple0 is the same way though. Homie isn't 100% reliable but if he gets into the ring when that bells dings it'll be worth the money. If both writers make an appearance then expect this to be a contender for BOTW.

    Erebus vs. Tim

Two longtime veterans stepping into the Topical Octagon. On one hand you've got the seasoned rover. Erebus has made his away around the internet and has made his mark from forum to forum. Tim has been on Rapbattles since the golden age and has knocked down many titans. This'll come down to a matter of personal preference from the voters. Definite BOTW nominee.

    Nigma vs. Spoken

Another BOTW nominee. Two seasoned veterans looking to put the other away. The only issue is Spoken showing up on time or not. We all know Nigma will show up with gloves on (even though he has a battle against myself in the semi finals of a tournament elsewhere). This guy is always ready to go the distance. If Spoken shows up and manages his time properly this'll have many highlights and lots of entertaining values.

    OG Maestro vs. Self Activate

The story vs. The flow. I expect a lot of people to look at this match up on paper and instantly lean in Maestro's favor but Self wouldn't be Empire if the guy couldn't hold his weight. This'll go down to the judge's decision in my opinion with every round being just about even. Expect nothing less than a slobber knocker here, ladies and gentlemen.

The camera begins rolling, gliding slowly Eastwards,
Captured within the reflective stronghold's engraved words.
A distorted grin embosses the deep, dark letters of pain,
The last words many may have read, before they were sleign.
Pacific oceans crash on the island of his iris,
Plagued with corpses floating in streams of thousands.
The distant desk lamp sparkles as a star of hope,
High above the soft white clouds of illicit dope.
Hazarding a glance back, holding the small Sony camera still,
vertebrae shiver as the pure sense of acheivement sends a chill.
Arguably reassuring for him, due to the happiness he shares,
Yet, the anger, the lust, the greed causes little more than despair.
A soft beep reverberates across the room, batteries are dying,
Superficially calm, artificially awake, yet emotions are flying.
The oceans fall still, his eye's bloodshot effects drain,
A pure enamel chizelled with normality begins to feign.
Short, angry sniffs slice the atmosphere of his room,
Prolonged sweeps of his grandmother using her broom.
"I CAN'T TAKE IT!" he screams, laughing mildly,
Petting the art of death lightly, now smiling wildly.
Then the camera falls to the floor, "SHIT",
A naked young woman scratches into view. Shit.
    .

"How's your date robert?" his sweet mother inquires,
"It's great, I like her a lot", her image he admires.
Edging away from the kitchen, his eyes flicking nervously,
Smiling to his mother whom was now knitting, obliviously.
The camera, still rolling, a blurred gun in the foreground,
A bleeding, nervous girl in the back, shuffling without a sound.
His feet drag up the stairs, each leaving their mark of disdain,
With a hint of respect he walks carefully, yet violently, yet sane?
Insanity's claim on those whom he attacks, is that others are affected,
Yet not the victim, they are the soul surviving infected.
    Oxymoronic statements, contradictory opinions, "CONFUSION",
Whispers echo up the steep stairwell, signifying his seclusion.
Above the rest of the world, a hard to reach place,
For he, as with others, hardly continues to have a face.
Merely a shadow for people to see, as the lamp shines,
His presence is shown in an odd silhouettic crime.
She's crying now, more awake than before, "WHY!?" she thinks,
Why now, why him, why here, why not then, maybe it's the drinks.
The dripping of a loose sink makes her skin crawl,
The pure disgust for the inch of dust on the wall.
As he climbs higher, the floorboards creak as she screams,
Her vocal chords vibrating, shattering, breaking at the seams.
Shaking the support beams his laugh cracks her skull in two,
She sits slumped, staring as if she'd inhaled too much glue.
Her lips? Blue. Her eyes? Green. Amidst this violent scene,
The odd silence before the storm, it's almost serene.

An intense sense of anticipation, multiple motivations,
The illawful inseminations, the après celebrations.
Stopping, three steps away, in reflection of his christian ways,
The three falls of Christ on his way to his crucifixion day.
Taking one step further, two steps away from the pain,
His lips are dry and his muscles spazming in some form of inane drain.
Yet as his foot reaches further the door flings open,
The door wedging into his head, his skull? Broken.
Naked, frightened, running for her life, "..is he gone?"
Free at last, free for life, free of.................
    ....................................Her mother's son.
Her brother lay bleeding, a river of blood outpacing her,
Rounding into the room where it would see the mother.
The sister, already in her haven of peace and silence,
No where to go, into the kitchen she runs senseless.

The mother sat laughing until the police arrived,
Both her children dead, yet she miraculously survived.
The gunman, she said, had come in from upstairs,
Killed her son, chased her daughter, weeping in dispair.
Her fingers crossed under the table's masking,
Acting, but inside she was laughing, laughing...
    LAUGHING.

First week magazine usually aren't anything special but it gives you something to look at and motivate you. I'll be doing an interview with former Sacred Scriptures mod and champion, Tim, next week. I'll be doing battle previews, verse of the week, battle of the week and no show shine next week. So there'll just be more shit to work with. Holla! - Empire 4 Life
