WEEK 7
Welcome, this is the take over since the mods has left us to wallow in wait. I am 143, Mr. Vocabulary, Yi San Si, Numbers... I will do my best to make this league succeed and bring out the best talent to compete. I thank the ones who are still here supporting this league. OG Maestro, SELF ACTIVATE and Sammy, it really shows true commitment to not only your craft but the dedication for excellence.

Last Week Battles...
'Phx vs Phalanx
This was a battle against two good topical writers. 'Phx verse was introspect into emotions while Phalanx was a drop into fear. Both writers had some good points and images drawn. Although 'Phx was short he packed a lot of emotion into it. I felt that it should have been longer because the emotions were strong but undefined in which length would have help with it. Now Phalanx direction on his topic although predictable was still a new take on it. The visitors played an important part in the direction of the drop and the edges were defined in the imagery department. Phalanx wins 2-1
SELF ACTIVATE vs Endeva aka Dev
This battle between season vets did not lack the competitiveness we were expecting. SELF verse took on the Pinocchio Theory while Dev gave us a nostalgic view of 1942. With SELF's verse, he brought out the liveliness in the lifeless main character with nicely placed vocabulary and great imagery. His layers that he created with the drop made the story pop off the screen. Dev's verse brought back those images of ragtime, like a godfather movie, highlighting descriptive aspects of that era to define his imagery. His story could have used a boost in characterization as it seem like the character was part of the scenery vs being active in the story. SELF wins 4-0
143 vs mic s
This cat was one of the first people who I battled in SS years ago, never getting a rematch to that battle till now. He No Showed and I guess I will never get that chance to battle him again. I win by disqualification....
THIS WEEKS BATTLES AND PREDICTIONS...
So here are my predictions and the battles for this week...due to two no shows, one battle was recombined
143 vs SELF ACTIVATE
To me, this is one of the writers that I really have a tough time gauging due to is affinity to be unpredictable. You can't really pin down one style with this dude and I respect him enough not to take him lightly. He has been lighting up the OM section and has his cred build by every drop. One of the elite writers who quality to detail is always first. Now I am not doubting myself because I do have some tricks up my sleeve but I respect this dude's pen game and look forward to a good battle. But I will win.....143...lol
OG Maestro vs Sammy
OGM can write, hands down. His previous works prove it. He is another versatile writer that can kill you in many ways with the bars. His last battle he cleaned 2trip clock. So I look for him to bring that heat that normally brings. Now Sammy is no slouch. I haven't seen much of his work outside of SS but he has something you gotta contend with. His directions in his writing are spear like and I would like to see how OGM can sidestep these salvos in his writing. Fire laden I expect for OGM to pull it out....
Closing...
I hope that we can revitalize this league. I have champed and been apart of this for a long time and it's one of the leagues I like participating on. The main thing is that we need these OM cats to come and try. I also want some of the old heads to come back and get it going again. If I can pull this off I think that SS can be back to its important role that it once was.
I truly thank those who are still here, SELF ACTIVATE, OG Maestro, Sammy for holding on and staying active. You will be the base for the rising of this league and the soul of Sacred Scriptures Underground Infekted....thank you guys!!!
