So in that case, to be honest. Path of exile is the only other game to properly approiate the d2 mechanics and build on them. Its ff7 mixxed with diablo. If thAT DOESNT EXCIE YOU, YOU DIDNT GET... fucking caps... into gaming liek it did and you never will. Final Fantasy VIII and IX were better than VII. Just saying.
9 is one of my favorite ff games. 9 and 12. 12 doesnt get enough love. I actually hated 12 at first, cause it was different. But when i got into it I was like damn this is cool. FF5 and 6 or 3 or whatever you want to call the one with tera as the main char was called is also a fav of mine. Great battle systems and job systems.
I havent played any of their online games though. Never wanted to pay a sub to play a game.
from my drunk as fuck comments earlier, i guess you could claim diablo isnt a MMORPG because it restricts you to 8 players per lobby.
