I'll be able to drop sometime this week before the deadline.

6 foot 7, athletic build, Hispanic, acne-ridden face with gap teeth
An officer held up a sketch…Jess gasped and yelled, “That’s Keith”
Tears flowed, her cell buzzed a deep hum that quivered through her bones
The panic was so deep, almost like her pulse was shared through her phone
She shuddered in grief and read the message, “Come home” – the panic progressing
She gripped her phone and closed her eyes, as if suffering from manic depression
An officer returned, “I have some good news and bad news, what do you want first?”
She responded, “The bad is all I’m used to, it doesn’t matter - he’s done worse”
“Mr. Rivera was found dead at approximately 130am. He was killed in his vehicle”
“No bullets hit the car, but one went up through the roof – it’s inconceivable”.
“Was he ever suicidal for the things he did to you?” The officer seemed shocked
As other detectives eavesdrop.. one whispered, “I don’t get it, How was he shot?”
No weapon was found in the car, detectives were going to speculate and sleuth
“You can go home ma’am, get rest - we’ll call you after we investigate the truth”
Jess dragged to her car, embracing the breeze as her tears blew in the wind
She drove home, staring at the moon, knowing the truth was a sin
Walked through the door, a voice crept out from the shadows of the dining room
“I heard he’s dead….NFL prospect, he was going to the combine real soon”
“Your boyfriend owed my father money, his gambling was horrid in a sense”
“He had too much debt – either he’d die or risk yours at his expense.”
“His record was swapped to justify his death” - although he was abusive for some years
Jess couldn’t say anything, knowing every word he said was music to her ears
No more charades – “Thank you baby – til this is over, I’ll see you again in weeks”
The man looked in her eyes and said, “May my brother’s soul rest in peace”
“See I was in the car with him, he was happy to play football, the man lost his sanity”
“I cursed him – he said he could give a fuck about me or if he lost his family”
“I wasn’t gonna sit there and let him speak negatively about his own blood”
“So I put a bullet through his chin and left – how could he ever disown us?”
“Disgrace - Dad's empire was to be a gift - OURS. But he turned into a bitch, coward"
"He had a day to decide" – then Jess interjected, "I know - it was Keith’s 25th hour"
