    A Place Called California

Palm trees along the freeway, my hair dancing in a calm breeze,
ninety degrees, seems great, the ocean crashing into the bronze beach.
Songs seep into my brain, Morrison and Plant rocking the speakers,
God's seen me strain for far too long while rotting as a dreamer.
Plotting in a theater, someday that'll be me screaming on the silver screen,
boxing for Oscars, slaying the fine dressed monsters in their limousines.
I'm taking my chances, the message I have to deliver will be around forever,
because Charlie Manson will never be forgotten, not now or ever...

Agency after agency, nobody here understands devotion apparently,
it's quite damaging, the rejection, calling my emotion "transparency."
So maybe I'm not meant to act, I've never been good at being fake,
I'll buy a guitar and play until my fingers begin to sting and break.
My music will change the way humanity tends to think and hate,
I believe in fate when it's created by the children of Charlie's faith.
Each note could awaken a part of you that releases free will,
and by the end of the song... it's not your demons you need to kill.

I've built quite the family since moving here from Ohio,
they don't need to impress me but they love to try though.
Between stealing from the rich and recruiting women,
to throwing cops off my scent and brewing humans.

Word's gotten around that my family's purpose is homicidal,
that my words can twist and turn like the serpent in the bible.
Detectives have asked around with papers signed by judges,
little blue men hired by little accusers who's lies pass judgement.
At first, I was reluctant, but the more attention they gave me,
I began hating my hiding spot, made it my mission to save thee.
Afterall, I came here to become a star so here's my chance...
even if that means I must cleanse the soul of my fellow man.

Politicians tried to stop us, but their secrets that I've kept,
ended up burying them deeper than the kingdom I've left.
Sex offenders and rapists, they thought they were smart,
but when you come after Charlie, you better aim for the heart.

... I'm so glad I came to a place called California.

This was some dark, cult archival shit. Like a student of Charles writing an essay on his influence and morality or something.
The second stanza is the best, cause you focused on natural flow and creating a realistic imagery around your lines. Like the one about playing the guitar til your fingers sting and break, leading into the next line with a good rhythm.
The rest is enjoyable. I can definitely tell that you exhausted your best, most intricate rhymes in that first stanza though. Because after that, your performance started to go down. Still it was enjoyable and shows you still got it.

This flowed really well with a moody tone.

I admire you're story telling while maintaining multiple rhymes in a stanza

I'm moving to cali in a couple months so I really really enjoyed this..

just from reading this I already feel at home, even tho I have never been there .

    Nice read

What up kingslayer! This was a very unique piece. Really nice descriptive imagery in the beginning that definitely carried the cali vibe you needed. Did not foresee this being a Charlie Manson bio rap lol! Well you did touch on his 'legacy' in a way I haven't really seen done which was really creative, it was a nice look through his views in an almost innocent way, though it would've been awesome to read on Charlie sending one of his angels to do his bidding in a bit more drawn out way. For being a Manson piece it wasnt as dark as if expect it. I really liked getting a glimpse of certain aspects of his life we normally don't hear about like his early failed acting career he wanted. Would've also liked to see some of the strings he was pulling in jail and the idea behind the giant swastika on his forehead. Anyways this was a cool piece, unexpected. Thanks for the read!

I plan on doing a series out of this, this was more focused on his early -- pre criminal life. The next piece will be more into the beginning of the horrific stuff. Appreciate the feedback broham.
