I disagree. Forcing wordplay in live battles might be acceptable but not in text. For example, Joe Boston is absolutely the worst piece of shit when it comes to wordplay. He blames it all on his accent. Like we just don't understand. I'm sorry but this is text. We're literally reading words, so the words should have their literal pronounciation. Nothing pisses me off more than some douchebag who forces a wordplay that, as pronounciated in every single English dictionary online, simply does not work and then has the audacity to say that it's his accent, dialect, or slang.

I don't think that's forced. Not in the least. There are obviously exceptions. I pronounce those the same way. I have no problem with that. What I'm referring to is stuff like "Ezekiel/Easy kill" or "anectdotal/and neck dot'll". They aren't pronounced that way. It isn't difficult to look up correct pronounciations online. If people just factchecked their wordplay before using it we wouldn't have these kinds of debates. If I read a wordplay that I'm unfamiliar with, first I'll look up the definition then I'll listen to the correct pronounciation. If it sounds spot on or similar enough I'll give it credit, but if if the pronounciation is altered to a certain extent in order to make the wordplay work then I can't roll with that.
