Ehhh I don't love this. I just don't feel like fishing is enough of a connection? It makes sense after you read it, but it's not satisfying. Like some bars you write, when I look back I'm like shit I shoulda seen that coming. And that makes them really feel good. This one makes sense, but there's nothing leading me down that path before it's revealed. And that's why I think it falls flat. When we talk about this in screenwriting it's called "postdictability."

This is why I don't love lots of wordplay punches here. I respect the work to get maxilla. That's cool. But I don't feel any impact from maxilla / jaw bone because I'm not surprised by the connection. You know what I mean? See postdictable, above.
