Au Revoir

A bleeding heart was there for the taking
straining to become a piece of art
Now seems to be slowly fading
For this withered canvas only exists in dark

A brighter complex was in the making
But the monochrome clouds can only waive
Greetings from a grayscale painting
And the submission to what the gloom portrays

The moons control each hour on end
As our time trickles on the page
The same tale inked from a contrasting pen
Remains brushing off more than your light can save
