Giannis should get it. Bucks were what last season, like the 7/8 seed? Best record in the NBA a year later, even after Brogdon and Mirotic etc go down with injuries. Westbrook can’t get MVP with a teammate like PG13 balling the way he has all year. Same reason why Steph or KD could never win one while playing together.
I don’t think Westbrook is underrated tho. Dude just won the MVP two seasons ago. Most who know basketball have him rated accurately and appreciate his heart and freakish athleticism/motor. Problem is his broke ass jump shot, along with the fact many look at all of those years he played with KD and think “how could you not win a single title with HIM?”
If Westbrook could shoot as well as a guy like say Dame Lillard, he’d be the best player in the league RIGHT NOW. It’s just something that hasn’t really ever quite developed. At the end of the day, it’s about scoring and people want to see the ball be put in the basket.

giannis is almost definitely getting mvp. best player on team with the best record, crazy offensive numbers, top 3 defensive player this year. harden had a crazy season but giannis still had a better one.
