Dope mag, as far as your voting concerns go I think they’re pretty justified asking people to read and vote on 12 line battles now days is a big ask since TikTok ruined everyone’s attention span and the ES is as good of a contingency plan that I could think of. I don’t really know you much outside this seasons 1-2 but from what I’ve seen your impartiality can’t be questioned. I wish you luck with this league, I’ll be deploying for a couple of months soon so probably won’t take part but if it’s still popping when I’m back I’d be excited to jump in

Dope read. Yes I like both PG and unfuk. They could def write and deserve their flowers. Also I like the nondue date here style better just so battles don’t get no showed on. Also not sure if I’m a huge fan of try outs at the moment where we need as much battlers as possible to make the league happen. As far as voting I’m so old school I would just say traditional style is what I’m for but if it wasn’t working out move on to the ES way. Dope read btw and looking foward to seeing what’s gonna happen

Okay. I'm willing to scrap the Tryout Battle idea. However, I'll propose an alternative for it. The Leaderboard has 20 spots on it. What if we make those spots permanent and have the first 20 people who sign up for the league the official roster for the season. After the 20 spots are filled, the only way somebody can sign up for the league is if a spot becomes open. There will be 2 ways for that to happen. 1. A No-Show gets you booted from the league. And 2. You sign out. But if either of those happens, you will have to wait for another spot to open to get back in the league. If we make the space limited and the sign up process important, it will give the LLL an exclusive feel and perhaps cut down on no-shows.

And another thing, for voting, maybe we can have both. Like I'll use the ES to score and decide the battle. But leave the thread open for Popular Vote. Anybody who votes will get an additional point, +1, for voting. So if they vote on 4 battles, they will get +4 points added to their point total for that week.

That would be a headache for me to micromanage though. Unless people provide links for each battle they've voted on like how Frontlines used to do it.

Yeah, but I'm sure as the season picks up there will be more people coming back to sign up. It's just a matter of how successful the league is.

One of the main reasons I favor the ES in this format is that if you post a verse, it's going to be scored no matter what. Your opponent could no show you but it still wouldn't be a waste of your time. You will get the win, and the points. The verse wouldn't be just "OPEN FOR FEED".

Another thing I want to get sorted out is the start and end of each week. I'd like to get a consensus. When is the best time to start the week and the best time to end it. Monday-Sunday? For me it's Wednesday-Tuesday. That helps me to get the mag up on time.
