There is a zero tolerance to drunk driving. If you are caught driving drunk and you're a Muslim, you get lashed 48 times. If you are Christian you face an automatic fine of 20,000 Dhs (around 6,000 dollars).
A 2 bedroom apartment in Dubai would run you around 180,000 Dhs a year (close to 50,000 dollars). A house would run you around double that, somewhere around 350,000 dhs a year (100,000 dollars).
Camel meat is a delicacy over here.
It depends on your line of work. Manual labour gets around 3,000 dhs a month (close to 900 dollars).
