SOBs has made it’s way from a Brazilian club, to a well known venue in hip-hop. Over the past decade it has really solidified it’s name as the place where new artists are being broken (Kanye West, Drake, John Legend etc..) . Larry Gold started this club in 1982 and hasn’t looked back since. In this interview with Larry is Le’Roy Benros, the man behind booking all the up and coming talent. In part 1 of the interview we talk about the history of the club, the history of hip-hop at the venue, and how the club made it’s name for breaking rap artists. –
