The End Of The World As We Know It!

A leaden sky,
Coaxed cascades of tears from Heaven’s eye ..
.. as humanity, damned the pleas, of “Armageddon’s Nigh!”
that bellowed from a vagrants lips,
Who chants louder as the rain persists ..

.. The downpour felt made of spit.

He warned -
“This World Will Soon Become A Great Abyss!”
People stared at him, but no-one really gave a shit…
As they walked by,
His wrought eyes cast a sombre gaze ..
.. toward the dun of dark hues that were on parade.
The clouds congregate ..
A great swarm storms the skies, and takes form before our eyes!

Suddenly a guttural rumble resounds The Beast Awakes! ..
.. and some of us stumble as the ground beneath us shakes.
A stony silence fills the moist air, with each of us nervous ..
.. as to what awaits once this seething demon breaches the surface.
He came crashing through Earth`s mantle with a thunderous ROAR! ..
.. that`s when I noticed the shrouded form now resembled one of the Lord.
As Lucifer`s legion stood behind him - I recall his disheveled grin ..
.. But surely against the Cherubim, and Seraphim’s of God - He could never win?

CamoRACK. Nice unfinished piece you got goin' here. The topic isnt that original, but the drop is sure as hell. I like the picture that you put up, to better the description of the changes of the world. I absolutely love when you drop, because your pieces are so unique, and are full of great content. Your rhyme scheme is off the richter scale, it is so original. I like the way you dont just rhyme through the whole piece, you switch it up sometimes, to get the readers attention, rather them reading the same flow over and over. Great piece Cam. Actually, I'll start odd verses sometimes and start writing to them but then have to go to work or whatever, and I post them up because then that encourages me to hurry up and get them finished - 0therwise, I find myself sitting on HOT half-finished stories that i'll never get round to completing! Lol. By posting them up unfinished, it motivates me to hurry up and finish them. But yeah, the next stanza to this particular piece is that the God and Satan fight each other, so do the armies of living-dead / seraphims and Satan actually defeats God, spiralling the world into chaos (Hence the pic at the top, which I was going to use again at the end of the piece too just so it sunk in harder. But yeah, i'll finish this soon - Good looks on the responses!
